Hey Guys,
I was forwarded here by another forum goer who thought you would have some good suggestions about how to beat this issue.
I've got a graphics card that can display up to 1920x1200, but I need to choose a screen resolution of 1366 x 768 for my Viewsonic 1931wa monitor. I'm running XP on the box that needs the change. Obviously, the 1366x768 resolution isn't listed, and thus I cannot choose it.
I've unchecked "Hide modes that this monitor cannot display" and it still isn't listed. I downloaded Powerstrip to try and force a custom resolution, but that isn't working out either.
In PowerStrip, I do the following: Display Profiles --> Configure --> Advanced Timing Options --> Custom Resolutions --> 1366x768 (LCD) --> "Add New Resolution"
Is that right? I get a "windows will need to restart to see if the display driver has accepted the new resolution." message, and then I hit restart and nothing happens after the box has restarted.
Any suggestions? I'm getting a bit desperate here!
Thanks.
