I assume that most of you would not opt to store your OS and data on the same internal drive, and are probably in between that and your most desired configuration.
What is most recommended? Your OS on an SSD? Or how many of you use RAID to stripe your OS on two SATA drives?
Do some of you store your media on a slave drive, or an external, or on a NAS or other network attached media server?
I'm currently looking through cases and boards, and looking ahead to what I might do with my HDDs, and whether I might want to look at a board with RAID or not. My media is on an external drive right now, and am not certain as to whether I should have it locally for speed reasons. Mind you, I'll be using Netflix and Hulu to a degree, but the media I have will also play a big part in my usage.
I appreciate any input you all can provide. Thanks!
