Anyone here tried swapping out the 8 inch sub to a higher level sub such as a JL audio 8 inch sub..

If the sub you are swapping in has a higher sensitivity, it may sound a bit louder, however there is only so much you can do without actually getting a higher powered amp.

Ynot go with the 10" sub from the z5500's. saw em on ebay and I own a z5500 system. Plenty of kick a** bass. Neighbors have called cops half dozen times in 3 months. :evil:
